|
On December 17, another meeting of the .ДЕТИ Online cycle took place on the VK-community Safe childhood information Environment, organized by the Smart Internet Foundation. The central event was a story about the online simulator Незрячим.дети (‘blind dot children’), dedicated to improving the level of digital literacy among visually impaired students.
The moderator of the meeting, Victoria Bunchuk, coordinator of the social direction of the Foundation, noted the importance of the project, its focus on comfortable and confident mastering of modern technologies by all schoolchildren, regardless of their health status. This simulator is part of a major project Explore the Internet – Govern it, launched back in 2012.
The simulator's content is designed for a better perception of information by ear: еhe texts are laconic, the design is minimalistic, and the page structure is equipped with the necessary labels for full interaction with screen readers. Currently, the simulator includes 15 modules covering a wide variety of topics, from computer design and network architecture to personal data protection and digital culture.
Access to the simulator is free, registration is optional, but those who wish to record their achievements can complete it and receive a confirmation certificate. It is planned to further develop the resource and enrich it with new materials.
The recordings of all the webinars from the series .ДЕТИ Online are published in the official community of the Foundation on the VK social network.
